It is advisable not to consume any alcohol and caffeine two weeks before the procedure.
It is best not to take any medications before your procedure unless your doctor has approved of its consumption. Medications or supplements can interfere with the medications that is given to you before and after surgery.

Do sleep with your head elevated for the first seven days, or for as long as the swelling lasts. Most patients will only experience swelling for a few days.

Do wash your beard gently for the first five days, beginning on day 3. It is not advisable to scrub excessively or blast water stream directly onto the implanted area.
Don’ts
Don’t shave the implanted area for 1 to 2 months.
Don’t panic if you are experiencing swelling, because it is relatively normal especially on day 3 and 4 after the surgery.
Don’t wash your beard for the first 48 hours.
Don’t scratch the implanted area. Itching is normal in the days following the transplant surgery.
